Case Study

Cherry Vibes website case study

An online store obsessed with all things cherry: migrated from Costa Rica to the U.S. market and rebuilt on a custom Shopify Hydrogen storefront.

Cherry Vibes sells all things cherry, and the store began its life in Costa Rica. We brought it to the U.S. market and rebuilt it end to end: Shopify set up for U.S. selling, a custom Shopify Hydrogen storefront, the full catalog, email automations, and custom apps.

Goals

  • Move the business from the Costa Rican store to the U.S. market
  • A storefront with its own look, not a stock theme
  • Email automations and custom apps that keep the store selling on its own

The challenge

Cherry Vibes had a store people loved. In Costa Rica. Moving an online store to the U.S. market is more than changing the currency: payments, shipping, taxes, catalog, and storefront all have to be rebuilt for how American customers shop. And a brand this distinctive deserved better than a stock theme.

What we built

A complete migration and rebuild:

  • Shopify, set up for the U.S. market: payments, shipping, and taxes configured for selling to American customers.
  • A custom Shopify Hydrogen storefront, designed for the brand and built on Shopify’s Hydrogen framework, so the store is fast and looks like nobody else’s.
  • The full catalog: every cherry-themed product set up with images, variants, and pricing.
  • Email automations: welcome, abandoned cart, and receipts, so the store keeps selling between visits.
  • Custom apps: the store-specific tools the business needed beyond what Shopify offers out of the box.

How it works

A shopper lands on a storefront that carries the brand: fast, custom-built on Hydrogen, and organized the way people browse. Checkout, payments, and shipping run on Shopify’s rails, configured for the U.S.; the email automations bring shoppers back; and the custom apps handle what’s unique to this store.

The outcome

Cherry Vibes is now a U.S. store, relaunched in May 2026: same beloved brand, new market, and a storefront built to sell in it. The migration covered everything: platform, catalog, payments, automations, and a custom Hydrogen storefront that does the brand justice.

His Python scripts automated our whole product pipeline — from a few hundred products a week to more than 20,000 a month — and put us at the top in Costa Rica for our keywords, above stores that had owned them for years.
